Official Press Release

COLLIBUS LAUNCH DEBUT ALBUM

Collibus, the Manchester prog-metallers debut album The False Awakening is set to be released digitally via iTunes, and online, on 20th January 2014.

Having won the 2013 Discretionary Rock Award of Parliament’s largest competition,Rock the House, Collibus made history by becoming the first metal band ever to play the House of Commons.

Their winning track Dead Inside has already been featured on Scuzz and the band have been booked to play Download Festival in 2014.

Lead vocalist, Gemma Fox, said:

“This is the album I have always wanted to make and it has come out exactly as we had wished. It has been a real labour of love, blood, sweat and tears to make The False Awakening and we couldn't be prouder or more excited as a band that it has come together. All credit goes to Ste whose perfectionism we have to thank for its production.”

Rock the House Founder, Mike Weatherley MP, said:

“I have no doubt that metal and prog rock fans will love this album as much as I do, I literally have not been able to listen to anything else since the band have drip-fed me the tracks as the album was in development. They were fantastic when I first saw them, then again in Parliament and I cant wait to see them play Download!”

Alexander Milas, Editor-in-Chief, Metal Hammer, hailed Collibus and The False Awakening:

“A heady dose of full-on, red-blooded British Heavy Metal”
