Rock The House Award

Those of you who have been checking out our Facebook and Twitter updates will no doubt already know of our good news. On Monday we found we had indeed won a Discretionary Award at Rock The House as chosen by founder Mike Weatherley MP himself. Being chosen in itself was a indeed a great honour, and the days that followed, including travelling down to London to attend the awards on the House of Commons terrace, were surreal to say the least! We certainly did not expect to be drinking wine and eating canapés with politicians, music industry people, and famous musicians on the Pavilion this week - or ever!

And what did we win, exactly? Well, get saving up now, because we are going to Donnington... Collibus have officially been confirmed a slot at Download Festival 2014! It is very early days, and we do not as of yet have any further info. But, rest assure - when we know - you'll know! We would like to thank everyone at Rock The House, everyone that made us feel welcome, and especially to Mike for choosing us for such a special award. We encourage any one of you who are in a UK band or a solo artist to apply for next years competition. It is refreshing to see our country's politicians supporting live and original music, and really is an amazing opportunity. We're waiting for official photos, but for now, here is a shot of Ste and I posing with our certificate!
